I love watching my kids take part in all of their various after school and Uni activities. I enjoy all types of training, including spinning and circuits, but my favourite exercise of all is taking my two Sprockers out for their walks.”
An indie-rock loving geek who has an endless supply of socks, watches and shoes - well just clothes in general!”
I love spending time at home with my long suffering partner and two gorgeous children, but when I grasp the opportunity for some 'me time' I can usually be found messing around at the yard with my biggest baby - my horse!”
When I'm not cleaning the house from top to bottom, I love spending time with my family, training our puppy or relaxing with a good book.”
When I'm not shopping or on eBay I spend most of my time in hairdressers prepping for my next look as a hair model. I also enjoy reading and writing, my favourite author being Stephen King!”
When I'm not busy running round after my three children or walking the dog, I like nothing more than to put my feet up with a nice cuppa!”
I work in the accounts department. I may not get the numbers right at the bingo, but in the accounts the numbers are spot on!”
I love entertaining my family of boys, walking our rescue dog, helping with the PTA, reading in the sunshine or when the house is quiet indulging in crafty pursuits to donate to charitable events.”
I like to get away from the hustle and bustle of the office on weekends and holidays by going for long motorbike rides across the country and further with my like-minded friends!”
I enjoy time spent with my family, reading, researching family history and walking my dog, Murphy, who loves to run with his pal, Bono. I always have a crossword to hand for the odd spare moment or two.”
At home you can either find me drawing, painting, or playing video games. Although my favourite hobby is playing guitar and singing. I mostly perform in pubs, at charity events and beer festivals on the weekends!”
In my spare time I enjoy reading and spending time with my friends, both outside and online on video games.”
In my spare time I enjoy doing a variety of activities such as gaming, bowling and going to music events. I have a pet tortoise called Tim, which I've had for just over a year. I enjoy travelling, and learning about other cultures especially Italian, and I support Chelsea FC.”
This is the life: sleep when I want, taken for a run with my pal Murphy. My only complaint is the diet the vet inflicted upon me. But, the plus side is that I can chase rabbits now! I'm a lucky dog - it's the good life.”
Although I think I'm very intelligent and love walks, toys and playing with my humans, there are a few fears I have like having my nails cut or reflections in windows!”
I love toys, especially those that squeak. Walking in the rain is fun too, particularly if I can avoid being towelled dry and have a good shake in the back of the car. I can't understand why she gets so cross!”
Becki has worked for Denim Nation since 2003, starting on the shop floor. She is now the Operations Director, and in her role of overseeing the growth and development of our websites, her main goal has always been to bring our customers the in-store shopping experience, on-line. Becki also does the buying for our shop FIT, which is based in Hereford town centre. She loves both fashion and shopping, so this is a huge perk!
Becky began her journey with Denim Nation all the way back in 2004 when she worked on the shop floor. She quickly progressed to assistant manager of our shop in the centre of Hereford but when an opening arose at the online side of the business she couldn't resist joining the hustle and bustle of busy office life!
Bryony has been running the eBay and Amazon side of the business from home while looking after her busy family for the past 4 years. As of early 2016, she has joined our office as a new, full-time addition to the team!
Clair joined our team in 2014 and it is like she has been here since day one. She quickly grasped the ropes and hasn't looked back since, establishing herself as a key member of the customer service team.
Emily has gone from being a Saturday girl to becoming the Customer Services Supervisor and Digital Marketeer since beginning her journey at Denim Nation in 2011. It was once quoted “Emily types faster than the rain”, which proves handy when she is responding to emails and updating the website.
Emma has been a valuable member of our close knit team since 2009. Without her impeccable customer service and her ability to juggle whatever is thrown at her, the office would be a far worse off place! Her knowledge of the business makes her the perfect person to ask for any advice or help.
In 2008 Denim Nation was blessed with one of our key members of the team. Jan has since then been the Mother of the office, making sure all departments are run smoothly and efficiently as well as juggling the business accounts on a day to day basis.
Lara has taken a more active role in the company since the introduction of denim tailoring and bespoke leg lengths. She can be found generally under a pile of denim with a mouthful of pins and as long as the tea is flowing the machine will be running. Working in the sewing room under the trusty guidance of Mrs C (AKA mum), they work as a team to complete all your tailoring needs.
Luke Conod is one of Herefordshire's most notable entrepreneurs. Luke founded Denim Nation with his parents in 2001 using his endless knowledge of the city and his skills running previous businesses. As ex-president and current member of the Hereford Rotary, Luke has a wealth of connections and respect within the local business community. As well as keeping us all busy in the office, Luke has travelled around the world supporting charities. He always has a refreshing, new, innovative idea ready to release into the business world.
Mrs C has been involved with the company since its inception, generally lurking in the backround. Since retiring from teaching her roles are varied, not only acting as Director and Company secretary, but also concealed, with Lara, behind the latest orders of denim in need of tailoring, or taking a plant home from the office when it needs intensive care. “Keep calm and carry on” is her aim, especially when Luke turns up and adds four boxes of denim to the three boxes already present, saying: “That'll keep you busy!”
Sam joined us in 2014 and since then has dabbled with answering phones, posting and all-round office admin! Without her soft-spoken customer service and assistance in the Accounts Department our team would not be complete.
The youngest and newest member of our team, Sam will eventually go on to run our in-house embroidery side of the business. Currently he is making himself invaluable by helping out where he is needed in the office and warehouse.
Will is our apprentice but only by title. He has earned his stripes as a fully-fledged member of our growing team - poor Will!
Bono lives his life in style, a real MD's dog. No ordinary dog's basket for him, he has a whole settee to himself. He's laid back most of the time, but if he spots a rabbit, or there's a shoe left unattended he springs into action. Paper's good for tearing up too. Who needs a shredder when Bono's about?
Fergus is a rescue dog and has been a huge bouncy part of our family since he was 10 months old. Fergus loves people, other dogs and of course food. Even non edible items have been given some Fergus customisation within our house!
Murphy lives with Mrs C and it's a good life. There's never a dull moment and he has plenty to wag his tail about: good food, lots of runs and not too many treats or he will lose his waistline again!
